Today, this age is coming to an end and we are painfully aware of the dependence our modern society has placed on this substance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The House of World Cultures has been conducting research on the Anthropocene, the man-made age of the earth, for years in various interdisciplinary projects.
