With his minimalist compositions, Piet Mondrian is one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. To this day, his paintings not only inspire viewers. Many artists are also being inspired by Mondrian and rethink his works to this day.
This is the theme of the exhibition "Re-Inventing Piet. Mondrian and the Consequences" at the Wilhelm-Hack-Museum Ludwigshafen am Rhein. Over 120 works are on display - not only from the visual arts, but also from fashion, advertising, architecture and design. What is it about Mondrian's visual language that still inspires us today?
